Issue#2 - Blown Away
You lot are awesome!
I am officially blown away by the popularity of the first edition of Plympton 321, thank you!
With a 70% open rate, 235 views and now 144 subscribers, this is proving very popular, please do like and share with friends and family.
Between us we can make this a real success, let’s build a community we are proud of.
A quick note: None of the below are paid adverts. These are simply events or things we’ve chosen to share. We will always be honest if anything is an advert.

3. Plympton Repair Cafe!
Saturday 18th 13:30 - 15:30 - Chaddlewood Farm Community Centre
This is a fantastic event! Details below:
Come along to the April Repair Cafe! Bring along your broken items and we’ll try our best to give them a new lease of life!
As always we’re happy to take a look at all items, from toys to electronics, to clothing to furniture! (Unfortunately we can’t repair bikes, scooters or any ride-on toys due to insurance, we also don’t have specific clock or jewellery fixers and these items often require specific expertise).
No need to book. Just come along between 1.30 and 3.30. Sometimes there may be a queue so bring a book or a friend and enjoy a cuppa whilst you wait.
Repairs are free but cash donations welcome. Refreshments available.

💎 The 2 Gems
1. Didbeans!
This really is a special little coffee shop. Found at the top of the Ridgeway, serving fantastic coffee and food! If you have not been, you should! Tell them Plympton321 sent you!
2. St Maurice Bakery
We are spoilt with some wonderful Bakery’s in and around Plympton. St Maurice holds one of the best (in my opinion of course!). Well worth the little walk to go and visit them - trust us!
Are you a business owner?
I will keep this newsletter free and useful for everyone in Plympton. To do that, I’m looking for one local business a week to partner with. If you want to reach 145+ (and growing!) local households, let’s chat. What offers can you give our subscribers?
💡 The 1 Tip: The “Local £5” Challenge
I really really want to get this one moving, so lets give this another go! Please done be afraid, how is going to be first to post?
This isn’t a parking trick, it’s a town trick. If every adult in Plympton spent just £5 a week in a local independent shop instead of online or at a big supermarket, it would put millions back into our local economy.
The Challenge: This weekend, spend your “Local £5” on the Ridgeway or at any PL7 independent.
The Call to Action: When you do, take a quick photo of your coffee, your pasty, or your receipt and post it in the Facebook group with the tag #Plympton321. Let’s show our local traders some noise
Thank you for your support, lets create the community asset we all really need! Please do invite your friends and family.
